The most consequential detail in a July 2026 sensitive-skin advisory may be the registered symbol beside its central routine. CTMP, short for Cleanse, Treat, Moisturize, Protect, is presented as a cornerstone of holistic care. A March 2026 article coauthored by three Galderma India employees identifies CTMP as a registered trademark of Galderma International.

The new paper reports an 11-dermatologist meeting held in Mumbai in May 2024, preceded by a literature review and questionnaires. Its disclosure says Galderma India supported the meeting and manuscript. Two authors were company employees; the remaining authors disclosed personal fees from Galderma. A medical communications company received thanks for editorial support.

That context matters because CTMP is not merely a convenient description assembled by this panel. Galderma was already promoting the framework. In March 2025, the company described conference presentations on CTMP alongside updates from its acne and sensitive-skin product portfolio. Its April 2025 investor presentation placed CTMP at medical congresses under dermatological skincare execution and portfolio engagement.

None of this shows that cleansing, prescribed treatment, moisturizing, or sun protection lacks value. Nor does commercial ownership make every recommendation wrong. It does set a boundary around the paper's strongest wording. An advisory meeting can report what its participants endorsed; it does not, by itself, establish that a sponsor-owned four-step package produces better outcomes than another sequence or a simpler routine. The authors themselves say standardized diagnostic and therapeutic frameworks are still needed.

Questions worth carrying forward

  • Was CTMP evaluated as a complete sequence, or were its components supported separately?
  • What evidence came from independent comparative studies rather than sponsor-convened opinion?
  • Would the panel have named the same cornerstone without a branded acronym?
